Awards season is upon us, and things are hotting up down under as stars battle it out for a Logie - the awards of the Aussie telly industry.
Our two favourite soaps are well represented in the competition. Home and Away leads the way with a total of 22 nods, while Neighbours has 14 nominations.
Among the Summer Bay stars nominated in the Most Popular Actor category are Todd Lasance (Aden Jefferies), who was last year's winner, Bernard Curry (Hugo Austin), and Lincoln Lewis (Geoff Campbell).
Stefan Dennis (Paul Robinson), James Sorensen (Declan Napier), and Matthew Werkmeister (Zeke Kinski) are among the Ramsay Street actors in the running for the gong.
A host of Home and Away stars are vying for the title of Most Popular Actress, including Jodi Gordon (Martha Mackenzie), Esther Anderson (Charlie Buckton) and Jessica Tovey (Belle Taylor).
Those representing Neighbours include Pippa Black (Elle Robinson), Eloise Mignon (Bridget Parker) and Jackie Woodburne (Susan Kinski).
Home and Away's Luke Mitchell (Romeo Smith) is up for the Most Popular New Talent: Male gong, while former Bay star Kate Bell (Joey Collins) and Neighbours' Ashleigh Brewer (Kate Ramsay) are battling it out for Best New Talent: Female.
Both soaps are also nominated for the Most Popular Drama award, which went to Home and Away in 2006, 2007 and 2008.
Voting is only open to people who live in Australia, so British viewers will just have to keep their fingers crossed if they want their favourite to win!
